    Hello,

can you please help me out with some questions?

    1. How can i present in my portfolio page, a self hosted video through a lightbox, using image gallery (click an image Thumbnail) open preetyphoto( video )?

    2. Assuming it is possible, can this self hosted video be played in its original size( say 1024 x 768 )? can i have any control regarding the video size displayed in a lightbox?

    3. I also have a gallery of images( using image gallery element), set to be displayed as a nectar slider style, when i click to open pretty photo, it doesn´t open original size image in lightbox. ( same question as above, but this is a single image file ).

    Thank you

    Hey Pedro!

I am afraid the lightbox is not possible. However you can place a row on the portfolio page and add a background video on it.

Can you please provide the gallery page so that we can take a look.

    Thanks

You mean the link to the page?

When i was researching on the forum about similar request like mine, i saw some posts, answers that you implied it would be possible, you even gave a code, to add on the CSS,

saying something about adding a Class pp to the code or something, and it would work, but i tried that with my very limited skills on css with no sucess.

I managed though to make a gallery of couple nectar sliders and adding the link to the videos hosted by Vimeo, and it worked, as lightbox, but the quality isn´t what i need for the 3d models turntables, plus the videos windows are just too small.

Of course i clould make a gallery of a bunch of self hosted videos( without the lightbox) but it would just make it too heavy to load the page at once, and using the lightbox i assume it would be the best choice for me because it would load each one as i click them.

    thanks

    Hey Again!

I might have misunderstood some of the stuff you mentioned. You are right lightbox is the only way if you dont want to make the page heavy.

    Hey Pedro!

Sorry but i am a bit confused. You mentioned here "I managed though to make a gallery of couple nectar sliders and adding the link to the videos hosted by Vimeo, and it worked, as lightbox, but the quality isn´t what i need for the 3d models turntables, plus the videos windows are just too small.

What is wrong with this option and why are the videos small ?. Can you provide a link to the page where we can see this.

    Thanks

What i really wanted was to make a self hosted video in a lightbox, because, when i use the videos from Vimeo or Youtube, their compression, just doesn´t give me the quality of the video i need for showcase my stuff, and also the window is very small( from the lightbox) . Maybe if you play in HD you could have a better look at the detais from my video( models), bur, it also takes you to the vimeo page , since it doesn´t play in the lightbox ( my webpage)  in HD. if you check the page on turntable gallery, bottom of the page, you can see what i mean.

In my mind, i think that using self hosted videos i could play in a better resolution, or original resolution ( 1024x768), in a lightbox, and have the videos be loaded individually,  As mentioned in other reply, i have an issue, since i want to showcase a bunch o videos in a page, they need to be loaded individually, otherwise the page will get too heavy. And using lightbox is the answer to that problem.

Mainlly why i want to use self hosted videos instead of Youtube or vimeo, is because of the quality from the videos( resolution and window size).

    thank you

    Hey Pedro!

Thank you for the detailed explanation . Unfortunately this would require some custom development. If you really need this modification done you could head on over to Envato Studio which is a service from Envato that offers paid WordPress customizations. I'm sure a developer on there would be able to wrap this up for you :)
