New template problems

I have two important problem now with the Salient template:

1) From the first installation (about a week ago) i can't use the Visual Editor. This is not a real problem: i can use the shortcodes manually, but it would be cool to use the Nectar functions.

2) From today, i can't update the home page: every time I modify it, WP double all the content and discard the changes (but in the front end the page remain the same).
(Example: The contact-us button in the home page, i can't delete it!)

Thank you,

I hope to know how to resolve this issue asap

Hey Riccardo!

Please update to version 4.0.1 and try deactivating all plugins and activate one by one to find the culprit which is causing the conflict.

Cheers

I found that the translation plugin "qTranslate" is the one that do this problem. But it never happened before!

PS, not only that plugin, also others (like "contact form 7")

How can i Update the theme? I don't have any notification about the theme update (i have version 3.1.5, bought less than 1 months ago on ThemeForest)!

Hey Riccardo!

Please re-download from Themeforest to version 4.0.1 . You can update your theme by downloading a fresh copy from ThemeForest, deleting the current version you have on your server and uploading the new.
It's recommended that you use FTP, but this also can be done with the WP dashboard if you prefer. The reason FTP is superior for this is because the theme won't have to be deactivated during the process so you won't have to reassign your widgets. If you're
interested in keeping up to date with the latest changes and fixes, please refer to the changelog
Also, remember to clear your browser cache after each update if you notice anything off. Old theme files can persist in your local cache and make you think something's wrong.

Cheers

Thank you.

Hey Again!

Glad you got it sorted. Simply head over to Salient Theme Options -> Typography Options .

Thanks.
I have seen that the dimensions are only in pixels and I'm worried about the rendering in some screen (i usually use "em" and "rem"), is the template optimized to adapt pixel dimensions also to HD screens?
Where can i found the standard pixels dimensions?

Thanky you again :)

Hey Riccardo!

You will have to test and optimize with media queries if you have any special requirements.

Thanks
