I'm finding that a lot of the small css changes that I want to make, via the custom css window in general settings and in the custom page css section, are requiring me to use the !important declaration. Should it be principle that any css I put in those two places over ride the current theme css?
Is there something I'm missing here? I'd rather not have !important strewn throughout the code, when it should just be overridden.
To override it you would need to put a css selector with greater specificity or use !important. As regards Custom css they are output after style.css so in theory they are after the initial styles.
I can definitely try to use more specific CSS selectors for sure. I'm not sure why my custom CSS would require an !important declaration then.
It isn't a high priority now, but I'll possibly reopen the ticket when I have some time to dig into it.
By the way, you have built an amazing theme. I completely agree with the one reviewer who stated it was a pleasure to use the theme. Excellent work and thank you for your support!
