I am using the Salient theme and it worked nice on computer and mobile until today. Now when I view my home page I see all the bracketed shortcode for the built in image slider and the theme is totally gone.
What I was doing was playing around with the Canvas Gallery plugin but for it to work I had to turn off the Page Builder by SiteOrigin plugin and then it worked fine. I think it even worked on mobile (with the theme). Next thing the problem began on the mobile version of the site, the theme is gone and no slideshow or theme features that worked previously.
You do not need any third-party page builders or plugin to use the Salient Theme. It has its own shortcodes and Extended Visual Composer to build the pages.
Do you have jetpack turned on. Please deactivate it as it is likley causing the issue.
