Blurry text in portfolio grid for portfolio item

    Hi!

    The portfolio item names (the text under the portfolio items) is blurry in most viewport widths, which does not look good. Can you fix that?

    I use Google Chrome on Windows 10. If you open the page and slowly resize the browser window width, you can see that in most widths the text is blurry, and only in some widths it is sharp.

    Kind regards,

    Peter

    Hey Again,

    Add this into the Custom CSS box located in your Salient Options panel (All custom css provided is tested in the Live Browser so it will work as intended . If you cant see any changes make sure there is no red cross in the Custom CSS Box as that syntax error would cause all css below it to not show up on the Frontend):

    h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6 {
        -webkit-font-smoothing: subpixel-antialiased !important;
    }

    Thanks

    Hello Tahir,

    Thank you for your help. I added the CSS but the problem unfortunately persists. During the animation when I mouse over a product image the text is sharp (which it also is/was without the extra CSS that you sent), but before and after the animation the text is blurry in most browser widths.

    Hey Again,

    Please update to Salient Theme Version 10.0.3 and Salient WPBakery Page Builder 5.7 .

    If you are not seeing the Plugin Update Notification you need to uncheck the " Disable Theme Reccomended Plugin Notifications " Field in "Salient Theme Options Panel"  -> General Settings -> "Toggle Theme Features" Section .

    To get a list of Bug Fixes and new Feature addons in the Latest Theme update,  the changelog can be viewed here : http://themenectar.com/changelogs/salient.html .

    Update the theme by following this guide: http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/updating-salient/ .

    Hey,

    I already had Salient Theme version 10.0.3 but updated the Salient WPBakery Page Builder from 5.6 to 5.7. I had to visit the plugins page to see that there was an update available for it, although the box for "Disable Theme Reccomended Plugin Notifications" was already unticked.

    But the problem with the blurry text remains.

    You have the same problem on your page http://themenectar.com/demo/salient/portfolio/ Notice that in some Chrome browser widths the text is sharp, so please drag the edge of the browser window slowly horizontally to resize it to see the page in different widths.

    The same problem can also be seen on my website bullit.se that also uses the Salient theme. Please check the attached screenshots. I have taken screenshots from bullit.se for two different browser widths – one is sharp and one is blurry. And as you can see if you look at the "Green hemlagat" portfolio item, not only the text is blurry but also the image. And besides that, there is a thin, horizontal line between the portfolio items.

    So there is something wrong with the antialiasing of the portfolio items, and not just with the text.

    Best regards,

    Peter

    This isnt the recommended method for testing.  Can you see the issues in Chrome dev tools responsive mode ?.

    Ok, try for example 1426 width for the https://www.thoreau.dk/produkter/ site in Dev tools and 1427 width on https://www.bullit.se. Then you should see the problems I have described.

    That is exactly what you replied the first time. I have already followed those instructions and told you that it did not work.

    And I don't see how font smoothing could solve the part of the problem with the blurry images either.

    Hello Tahir,

    I had already updated to Salient Theme Version 10.5.2 and Salient WPBakery Page Builder 5.7. The problem is still there, and it says nothing about that problem in the changelog from what I can see.

    Kind regards
