Hi all, I've been using the full-width masonry portfolio as my home page. I really love it though I am getting to the point where there are so many items that loading time has become an issue.
I know that pagination is the simplest solution though for some reason it doesn't recognize the pages when the portfolio is my home page. Any thoughts on how to resolve this?
On a related note pagination is not the ideal solution for me. A long scrolling page of portfolio items is much more appealing to me plus the portfolio filters only work on the current page. Is there maybe a way of only loading the images that are visible within the browser or any other possible solutions?
Could you try turning off the smooth scrolling as that might help with performance. Also could you please provide the page link. I would like to try out some css performance hacks.
It seems to be working normally when using the ext pagination option in the portfolio tab of the Salient options panel therefore we recommend to keep it on.
Thanks Tahir, the problem I was having was when using the portfolio as a home page. That is when the pagination was failing for me. I did a test portfolio as its own page and it worked fine.

Hi Tahir, I feel like turning off the smooth scrolling did help load the page faster (unfortunately it is way cooler with the smooth scroll).

Hey Brian! Just to comment, a lazy loading or ajax loading option will probably see its way as an option in the next feature based release :)
Cheers
Great thanks! Maybe I'll just wait it out. Does anyone have any idea why portfolio pagination doesn't work when the portfolio is the homepage?
