Hey Richard, I just took a further look into that ticket and tried to replicate the issue locally as well as using browerstack.com, however the issue has not appeared yet (see attached). What is the exact version of IE11 you're using?
I have solved it by removing the image element in the column and using a background image instead. By adding padding above and below to the left column, the image on the right is okay. Bit more whitespace on a mobile, but issue is solved.
