I currently am using the recent projects widget on my home page and it works fine when browsing through a computer. However on a mobile touch interface device, clicking the image thumbnail in the recent projects does not open the link. the link is there but you have to hold your finger down on the image to bring up the link then click from there. I have tried this on a android device using chrome and the native samsung browser.
The mobile image thumb is a known bug and a fix will be made in a upcoming release. As regards your other question it would require some custom coding in "shortcode-processing.php" file located in the "nectar/tinymce directory" .

Also while using the meta below w/links on hover, is it possible to make the meta text a clickable link to the portfolio item?
