I need help getting this video background to play. I am using the most updated version of Salient and WP Bakery. I have tried all the options and all that I know how to do. Please help!
There is not enough instruction in the link you've sent me for me to fix the problem.
It simply tells me to paste a snippet of code in the .htaccess file.
The Salient theme itself warns me from doing this as it may break the site. I don't know where to paste this snippet of code. Please help with a more detailed solution. All I really need to know is where exactly do I need to paste this code. And how do I do it without breaking my site.

"Add that to the bottom of the .htaccess," does not adequately explain what exactly I need to do. Please, explain it to me like I am a 4 year old.
Do you want me to open the .htaccess and scroll all the way to the bottom and just paste it in? Where do I paste it? Between what other items? I need further information. Again, explain it like I am 4.
It will be much faster for you to fully explain how to do it so I don't have to keep coming back with further questions. Thank you very much.

I meant you open and paste it below everything that you already had in that file.
Also check the extension of the video you have, try converting them to mp4 if they use different extensions. I believe you had seen where to add mp4 media file.
I can't find any place in the .htaccess file that looks like the picture you posted. I'd imagine you truly just meant at the very very bottom when I open the editor tab through the appearance section of my back end. Am I correct?
My files are all mp4s, which is why I opened this ticket because it doesn't seem to make sense to me.
And since we are here getting support, can you help me remove the search bar and shopping carts from the home page here? https://www.giansantegioielli.com. Someone else built this site and I took it over. I can give you access to login if you need it.

I tested the video you shared and it is working on my end as well as on your end. It seems you were posting the url link of youtube instead of mp4 file.
Below is the link of the file you are supposed to paste on the field or browse to the location where the file is.

You can add that at the bottom of the .htaccess.
Can we have login access to your website we test. We going to need username and password with admin privileges.
Also include the link of the page where you added the video and not playing.

The search bar can removed from the header at Salient > Header navigation > Layout related.
The shopping cart setting is found in Salient > Woocommerce. You will find a section to disable it.
About the video not playing, we will need access to your website (Username and password with admin privileges).

I fixed all of the issues so far apart from the video background not playing.
I can provide the username and password if that's what's needed to fix it.
There are two home pages, one in English, one in Italian. I need the video background to play for both home pages.
