I recently started using the Salient theme, everything looks good so far... However, when navigating to my site for the first time the front page (image gallery) doesn't load, you have to either refresh the page or click 'Home' to get it to load properly.
I've confirmed that this problem goes away when I switch "Activate Fullscreen Rows" to ON, however, that presents a whole other problem of not being able to scroll using the mouse scrollwheel.
I'll try this but I don't think this is a performance issue. If I do something as simple as resizing the browser window, the images show up. It's just the initial load that shows a blank page (the navigation / logo is still there). Also, all images are < 500kb.
I've narrowed this down to the Image Gallery / Image Grid Style / Masonry Style. It's not a performance issue but the images are actually being hidden and are only revealed on a refresh OR a resize of the browser window. I'm not a CSS expert but it's like a div is hiding the images, or positioned off the screen.

Hey,
Try using the Optimization plugins recommended in this Article http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/performance-optimization-guide/ and check if that makes a difference .

Hey Again,
Please turn off the Jetpack Plugin Lazy Load and image resize feature as its causing the issue.

That worked! Thank you so much, I was trying to figure this out for like 3 hours yesterday.
