I'm rather inexperienced with wordpress so this might seem rather obvious. I'm having a trouble linking a nectar slider to the portfolio item so it can have that gallery sort of display.
I believe you want to place a Nectar Slider on the Portfolio Page ?. You could do that simply using the Visual composer and add the Nectar Slider element on that portfolio page .
