    Could you try turning off the Autoptimize Plugin so we can take a look.

    I used these styles for the menu, when I take them off the problem persists.

    .portfolio-filters #sort-portfolio {  background-color: #d33 !important;}
    .portfolio-filters ul li a { color: black;}
    .portfolio-filters { width: 282px !important;}
    .portfolio-filters-inline .container>ul a, .portfolio-filters>ul a, .portfolio-filters>a span {font-weight: 100!important;}
    .portfolio-filters #sort-portfolio {background-color:#d33 !important;}
    .portfolio-filters a  {background-color:#eeeeee !important;}
    .portfolio-filters ul li a { color: black !important;}

    You need to remove the Centered Content Option in the Column Option : http://prntscr.com/ont157 . I am referring to this option : http://prntscr.com/ont1ct .
