I attempted to change my url from bandsinavan.com/wordpress to just bandsinavan.com, and it crashed everything. I couldn't log in, only my home page was working, and it was very broken, and every time I tried to access my dashboard or any other page, I got the error "the requested document was not found on this server."

I fixed that issue by adding two lines to the functions.php file in my theme folder, then I was able to log in and access my dashboard, but only by clicking through to it from GoDaddy (my host). (I went back and deleted those two lines from functions.php as per the instructions.) If I try and log in via bandsinavan.com/wordpress/wp-admin, it just redirects back to the blank login page, and all my pages now have a redirect loop. I disabled all my plug-ins and it didn't seem to help. Most of the forum answers involve people with multi-sites, which I don't have, so I don't have a .htaccess file.

Ideas?
