I cannot override woocommerce files

I have tried several ways to overwrite the woocommerce files by adding a woocommerce folder with the files I would like to replace in to the theme folder. Is there something specific I need to do to overwrite the woo files?  Would something in the theme be stopping this from working?  Am I putting them in the wrong place and does salient already come with an override folder for woocommerce?

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hey James!

You dont need to override anything. You simply have to update or reinstall the woocommerce plugin to get the new files.

    Thanks

I'm sorry my question was vague.  I am making changes to woocommerce files.  For Instance I have made a lot of changes to my-account.php and woocommerce says to recreate the file structure in your theme folder inside of a new woocommerce folder so that I do not have to replace this file every time I update woocommerce.  But it is not showing any override of my  my-account.php when I do this.  I can't figure out why it's not overriding the original woocommerce my account.php and I was wondering if it has to do with the theme?

Looks like it must have been fixed on the last update because it's working now.  Thank you for the support.
