The option to Disable Salient Visual Composer also disables/ignores the original WPBakery's plugin. In other words, if I subsequently activate the latter, pages/posts don't show it (as if it was inactive). That seems to defeat the purpose of having that option :-) As a further test, I temporary switched to another theme and WB VC works fine.
Any update on this as well? I purchase the original WP Bakery Visual Composer with the latest version and I cannot use it as it doesn't work with the theme/when I disable the Salient Visual Composer.
Hey guys, you need to rename the folder wpbakery that lives in the theme folder to anything else - as the issue is not with the theme option being too aggressive, but rather the fact the plugin VC won't enable if it detects a folder named wpbakery inside of the active theme.

ive tried to rename the folder which is in the theme called wpbakery but does not let me use the raw version of the plugin am i doing something wrong
