I am using a child theme to add and edit my custom content so that I don't alter the original files for future updates.

My question is though is there a way to Hook into the Nectar Shortcodes popup using a childtheme?

I would like to add my custom shortcode to the popup there or is it better to just create my own tinymce "button" ?
