Salient over-stretches images when using Woo Commerce shortcodes in full-width view

    Hello,

We heavily rely on the woocommerce shortcodes to dynamically show our latest store products.

However, when using this shortcode in conjunction with the salient "full width view", salient stretches the thumbnails so much that they are extremely pixelated and also appear doubly bad in retina displays.

Woocommerce will not help me with this as it is a theme specific issue.

Please see the attached screenshot highlighting the differences:

    • Sample 1 shows the shortcode when used with the standard "in container" view.
    • Sample 2 shows the shortcode when used in the "full width" view, resulting in the extremely low resolution as mentioned in my description above.
    • Sample 3 shows 4 high res images without the shortcode, demonstrating the way it SHOULD look.

The password for the URL is 1

Could you please amend the issue so that sample 2 shows high res images?

    Hey Samaz!

The only way to sort this is going to be to add higher dimensions into the WooCommerce settings for the image size. Head to

WooCommerce > Products tab > Product Image Sizes in your admin panel and change the dimensions to probably around twice the size. Once you've done this just regenerate your thumbnails http://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails... and it should be good :)

    Cheers
