I've noticed that the Flexible Slider Height -- while I love the idea behind it -- doesn't work very well on iPhones. It makes the sliders so tall that they are taller than the screen itself. It takes a lot of scrolling to get past them and makes for a confusing user experience.
I've been experimenting with different nectar sliders and different heights and minimum heights. I've found that whenever the Flexible Slider Height option is checked, regardless of the minimum height I input, the slider's height is so high that it's more than 100% of the iPhone screen. I would estimate about 120% or 1100px high. You have to scroll down to get past it.
While this certainly eliminates the problem of having sliders appearing too narrow on mobile devices, I suspect this is not what you had in mind.
Feel free to view the second slider, the silhouette soldier with the dark blue night-time background:
I tried setting the minimum height to 400px. It's a shame I can't set a maximum height either, because it shows at over 1000px height. (The emulator displays it at 702px, but you get the idea.)
Also worth pointing out that this issue is present when using the parent theme.
But the parent theme adds a thin 1px white line along the right-hand side of the slider on iPhones. Not an issue for me personally, as I fixed this in the child theme. But this might be an issue for stock Salient users. :)

If you don't have an iPhone, you can simulate the effect usingĀ http://www.mobilephoneemulator.com/

Thanks for your time!
