Hello, Now that I've installed by Salient theme it shows that the WPBakery plug-in is required. I didn't know this before my purchase. My past experience with WPBakery hasn't been good because it includes a lot of markup language and it's very difficult to make modifications and additions to the website later. Me and another developer spent many hours trying to add addtional pages or modify existing ones on my website. Is there a way around this requirement?
The required wp bakery is heavily modified and custom made for the theme. Its included in the theme and you can install it from appearance \ install plugins area.
There is no real alternative for it if you want to make the layouts on the demo site. The only thing we can think of is the use of an alternative builder of your choice or using you own HTML in pages.
Hi Andrew, too bad the WP Bakery requirement to produce the pages shown in the Salient demo designs isn't disclosed in the beginning. I think it should be. Using builders isn't the route I want to go. I will create my own html pages then and circle back if I need anything else. thank you.

Hi Daniel,
There is mention of the page builder based off of wpbakery on the main themeforest page - https://themeforest.net/item/salient-responsive-multipurpose-theme/4363266 under extended feature list.
Also on the promo page - http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-promo/
Its okay am sure there are builders our there that focus more on clean HTML output. Have heard about Elementor as a good choice.
Cheers.
I see that now, thanks!
