I am trying to apply a theme shortcode where I can drop in a shortcode that is filtered by category and limit to the last three posts and by title only. Right now, when I use the theme shortcode it puts the all the posts and the excerpt is too long.
You can set the post excerpt limit by turning off the Automatic Post Excerpt and setting a custom excerpt link in Salient Theme Options-> Blog section.
