    Hi there!

I'd like to know where to find the file that houses the code for the Recent Post element with the Default setting selected. I cannot get the date to show up with "Default" selected and feel that I could add it in if I could find the proper php file. The date works with any other setting: Classic, Minimal, etc. Just not with Default.

    Thank you for your help!

    Hey Again,

The Upcoming update Salient 12 will have an option to override the VC Templates via a Child Theme . At the moment its not possible to change them with a child theme and would not recommend changing the Parent Theme as those changes would be lost if you update it further on .

I am afraid there is no such code reference available to guide you with these customizations at the moment.

Well, what if we made the change in the parent theme as an interim fix anyway? The next version will have the fix so it won't matter if it gets overridden, right?

It wont have the fix in it. The relevant file edits  would have to be made in the Child Theme after the new update as well.

Right now you can find the relevant files in the "salient-core" Plugin .

    Path : "salient-core/included/vc_templates" .
