I do not see a feature in Nectar Slider to have the slides automatically cycle through, as you must click on the navigation to advance to the next slide. Is there such an option within Nectar?
I am using Salient for the first time. On the following documentation page:

Can you provide a working link? I am looking at removing the home slider from the home page and instead using the Nectar Slider.

The Home Slider is deprecated and still added in for legacy users. Try using the Nectar Slider instead: http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/nectar-slider-plugin/ .
