We have an issue and after all the debugging we think it might be from the theme.
We added the google tag manager code via the GDPR Cookie Consent plugin and we added in the menu some anchor links from the page. On page loading, the tag manager and the global analytics fire correctly, but when clicking on the links in the upper menu, they fire again and again and again. if you install the google Tag Assistant add-on in Chrome you will see this.
We deactivated all 3rd party plugins and hardcoded the google codes in the theme and still facing the same issue. We also tried inserting the codes via Google Tag Manager for WordPress plugin and still nothing. If you could take a look and help, it would be amazing.

I disabled the Formidable forms plugin, but the error and the issue are still there. Then I disabled the Fast Velocity Minify plugin and now the error in the console shows as being from jQuery. So, can you please look into this more? Thanks a lot for all your work!
Copy header.php file from parent theme to child theme folder where the function.php file is located
The file header.php contains both head and body tags. You can easily identify when you open the file. Please try that option and let us know if any issue arises.

As i mentioned in my first post, I already tried that. It was one of the first things we did and still having the same issue.
