Just a question re; MailChimp... What's the best / most recommended way of integrating a MC form on the site?
I simply want to add it to a standard Sign Up page, and every time I do add their code (via the Text tab in the WYSIWYG), the dropdowns in the form break and split across multiple individual drop downs. It's quite strange.
The only plugin that seems to work is Mailchimp for Wordpress (MC4WP) however this has limited functionality unless a pro version is purchased, which isn't something I want to do if I can avoid it.
Are there any recommendations on MailChimp integration / even a plugin that is safe to use and will blend in nicely with the site (and preferably free).
Further built in mailchimp integration is already on the wishlist but as of now there's no official recommended plugin for it unfortunately. If you can share a URL to a page where the dropdown issue occurs i'd be glad to take a look for you though :)
Thanks mate - sucks it's not so easy to integrate, the official MC plugin doesn't help either and the ratings for it is quite low, so obviously there is some issues on there end.
I ended up purchasing the premium version of MC4WP (Mailchimp for Wordpress Pro) and so far it has been perfect. Obviously not ideal that it's a paid service, but the customisation and ability to call different classes etc, may help with you integrating a more workable solution or coming up with your own plugin.
It's good to hear that the premium version works good out of the box! Thanks for sharing the outcome with me too, I'll let you know if I indeed need backend access at any point :)
