    Hello,

I'm not 100% sure if salient really affects this problem, but I tried to translate my website from dutch to english using all the free translate plugins (loco, polylang etc..) and nothing works. I made a onepage website and the translate plugins don't even show 1 sentence of my homepage. I would really appreciate the support :)

    Hey Again,

    Try using this Plugin : https://wordpress.org/plugins/say-what/ .

In The "Text Domain" field write "salient" without quotes . If you are trying to change woocommerce words  add "woocommerce" in "Text domain" . The fields are case-sensitive .

    hey Tahir,

That option works, but I would like to have the website in 2 languages and a button which visiters can use to switch between different languages on the website.

    Hey Again,

You would have to use WPML for Multiple Language Options: http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/translations/ .

    Thanks

So a free solution like Loco translate doesn’t work with salient?

    Hey Again,

With Loco Translate you can only translate the Theme to Another Language, not switch btw two languages. Please see: http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/translations/#tools .

    Thanks

    Hey Tahir,

I understand. It's not a big deal purchasing the WPML plugin, but I would like to be sure that I can translate my homepage with it.. Because I tried all the free translate plugins and none of the words I have on my homepage seemed to appear in the strings. I also see that WPML has different packages. I've build the homepage with the WP Bakery page builder. Can I translate this page with just the bundle of $29?

Sorry for all the questions Tahir. This should fix it all I guess :)

    Hey Again,

WPML has great support that can help you configure it correctly. Also see: https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/create-multilingual-wordpress-websites-using-the-salient-theme-and-wpml/ . The Video should anwser your questions .

    Thanks
