In addition to this, I want the four squares that will bring you to back to the portfolio overview to go be dynamic and go back to the portfolio overview which you entered the portfolio-item with (some projects can be appearing in both categories).
So what I want is practically the structure of Pages, but then with the abilities of the portfolio pages, such as the nice recent project sliders and headers :)
Unfortunately you wouldn't be able to have two slugs like that without custom URL rewriting in the .htaccess file (unless you built another custom post type with the same functionality). Also you can already dictate where the back to all button will take the user in every portfolio item but unfortunately it's not dynamic and requires you to select the ortfolio parent page you wish it to be linked with.
Hi there!
I am having a small issue with two portfolio categories. Both have their separate pages with projects, say "Events" and "Work". However, all projects are under one permalink structure "/portfolio/", so the url for both is sth like this: www.mysite.com/portfolio/portfolio-item while i want it to be like www.mysite.com/events/portfolio-item and www.mysite.com/work/portfolio-item.
Any way to do this?
Hey Tristan,
Unfortunately you wouldn't be able to have two slugs like that without custom URL rewriting in the .htaccess file (unless you built another custom post type with the same functionality). Also you can already dictate where the back to all button will take the user in every portfolio item but unfortunately it's not dynamic and requires you to select the ortfolio parent page you wish it to be linked with.
Cheers
Thanks for the reply!
Too bad. Would be a great feature for larger websites though :-)
