My homepage made with Salient Visual composer does not perform very well despite having minified (Autoptimize) and caching (W3TC+Redis). Load time is >5 sec and I am trying to get that down.
Approach I am embarking is hiding certain elements / building blocks on mobile. However, I'd like to give visitors the opportunity to switch to the full website on their mobile device. Any thoughts on how this can be implemented in Salient?
Other thoughts on improving speed index on mobile are welcome.
And I struggle to improve that. Setting up a frontpage with different blocks/elements for mobile with smaller images hardly has any impact. For mobile there just seems to be a load of un-used CSS.
As mentioned in your other ticket. If you are hiding the Page Element using the Responsive Settings, it will have no impact on the page load as the page content is the same.
Furthermore, Salient has no such alternate Mobile Page Option where you can show a smaller-sized page on Mobile and the Full Page on Desktop.

Hey Again,
The Page speed seems to be good: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.evcreate.nl/irXmRYC3. Were you able to resolve this ?.
Thanks

That is the desktop test. I do not have GTmetrix pro so cannot test over there with mobile. I check mobile via https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.evcreate.nl%2F
