I was wondering why the ‘Copyright’ section in the footer was replaced by ‘Proudly powered by Wordpress’.
Even changing the settings in the Theme options would not allow me to have custom text there.
Can you check if there’s something wrong or how to fix it?

The copyright section actually wasn’t changed for the last update – is there anyway you could let me see the URL if you’ve already ensured it’s not a plugin adding that?
Me:
I’m not sure what happened then. I’ve tried to disable some plugins, but i’ve not added any since the last update.
And i did not understand: this code should completely remove the footer? Because what i want is to use Salient's footer. I have all the options configured since, i don't know, the last 7 or 8 months and fully working. It was only until i updated Wordpress that i noticed this change.
Could you take a further look? If necessary, i can give you acess to the Administration page.
I dont see the css on your site. It seems to be loading a compressed css file therefore its not appearing. If you have any cache or page speed plugins enabled please rebuild the files or clear the cache.
The footer has completely disappeared, which is not what i'm looking for. I have, for example, a newsletter subscription field on that div that is very helpful.
I would really and sincerely appreciate if you guys could help me further, since i don't know what's causing this.
We ourselves are not aware of whats causing this since you have minification enabled and the page source is jumbled. Also there is no footer being outputted rather then the one seen which is likely being added by a third party plugin or some dashboard settings. Please try deactivating the third-party plugin you have to check.
Also please update to the latest version of the theme .

Thank you for your help!
Hey !
It is not added by Salient Theme. If you wish to remove it , Add this into the Custom CSS box located in your Salient Options panel :
