menu/header bottom padding on mobile device

    Dear nectar,

I have a question regarding the bottom padding of my menu and header,

I have not enabled Responsive Design because I want my website to look a certain way on the home computer.

    But:
When viewing my website on an ipad and iphone I see that part of my page content partly disappears underneath the menu/header block.
I wonder what I could do best to solve this without enabling the responsive design.
I thought of some solutions for it but I am not sure how to change it myself.
    What would you advice?

    1) make the white background colour of the menu/header transparent?

    2) change/reduce padding underneath the menu/header block?

    3) move the content block (underneath header/menu block) downwards with CSS for all mobile devices

    4) enable responsive design for mobile devices only. (is that possible?)
I tried using this ticket, but it didn't work and showed the website on my iphone like the regular website when the responsive design is disabled.

I hope you can help me with this. I would like to have my website work on mobile devices too, but i don't want to use the responsive design for my website when viewing it on a home computer

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind Regards,

    Miriam

    Hey!

Please update to Salient Theme Version 4.5.1 and then provide us a url if the issue is still there.

You can update your theme by downloading a fresh copy from ThemeForest, deleting the current version you have on your server and uploading the new.
It's recommended that you use FTP, but this also can be done with the WP dashboard if you prefer. The reason FTP is superior for this is because the theme won't have to be deactivated during the process so you won't have to reassign your widgets. If you're
interested in keeping up to date with the latest changes and fixes, please refer to the changelog: http://themenectar.com/changelogs/salient.html
Also, remember to clear your browser cache after each update if you notice anything off. Old theme files can persist in your local cache and make you think something's wrong.
Also please see this FAQ: http://themenectar.ticksy.com/faq/2252 .

    Thanks

    Hi Tahir,

Ahh that did the trick. But that's weird because I have updated the software this week. Were there perhaps two updates?
    Thanks so much!
