Hopefully it can make it's way into a future update. I can always hard code it in but I try to stay away from that so that when it comes time to update I don't have to remember every change I made.
This feature is an absolute must for this theme. I love this theme and proudly use it but if I can't get my phone number to stand out in bold in the top right hand corner then I'm going to have to ditch. I did get it working today with some custom css but then realise that it broken the responsive part of the theme. Can you provide some code for this at all, it really is a must for a template.

Is it possible to add text to the secondary navigation or only links? I want to add a short sentence and a phone number in the upper right.

Add this into the custom css box located in your Salient Options panel and modify the color as needed:

You dont need any css simply set a secondary menu and set the title to the phone number.
