I'm finding that nectar sliders just don't display images on mobile. And when they do, the functionalities are different (like auto-rotation doesn't work on mobile). Same happens to some image galleries, so I can't really work out which item to use when trying to display several images on one gallery so that it looks homogeneous throughout my portfolio. What would be your recommendation?

The Autorotation is turned off intentionally as to save browser resources. Try using the Image Grid Style Gallery as it offers the most options: http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/galleries/#imagegrid .
