The site is currently running Salient theme 8.x.x and we want to update to the latest version 12.x.x. After the update shortcodes and whole layout structure is breaking.
The current is version from 2018 and a lot of thenings has been changed in the theme since then.
Please update to the Latest Salient Theme Version.
The current version of the theme is 12.1.2 and the current version of the page builder is 6.2. Salient versions older than v11 won't be compatible with WordPress 5.5.

Note that "Visual Compser" also renamed their plugin on Envato to "WPbakery page builder" a couple of years back.
