I think you misunderstand me. I am using a text block. I am talking about switching between visual and text mode in the text block editor. See the attached image.
I found a temporary solution by just adding everything in a Raw HTML block instead, but that is not a good permanent solution.
Hey Jeppe, this usually occurs in WP (not just in VC or Salient) when switching between visual and text tabs multiple times - however there is a plugin you can get to extend the functionality of the editor and prevent that :) http://wordpress.org/support/topic/visual-editor-stripping-all-my-html-formatting
Hi,
I have a text box in Visual Composer, and edit the text box in Visual mode.
There are several line of text and a form.
I switch between Visual and Text mode and enter som line break html tags <br>
Then I click back to Visual mode and not everything looks good. I then click back to Text mode, and now the breaks I just entered are all gone?!?
Some are converted to some to blank lines and some are just gone all together. That depends, I think, if I put the break in a form or outside.
How can I add the <br> tag without that happening?
Hey Jeppe!
Please refrain from switching the VC modes. Instead use a text block to add any html or shortcodes.
Cheers

Ah - OK. I was not aware that it was a general WP issue. Thanks for the advice, I will install the plugin.
