    I would like help to get my header to be transparent when on top of site, and to get white background, when scrolling down.

    Also when I use the megamenu / submenu, should the header get white background.

    I changed the setting in Salient settings, but didnt seem to work ...

    Try using the Force Transparency Option in "Page Header Settings" Metabox . See screenshot : http://prntscr.com/gjnyit .
