    The admin bar on a mobile phone is just a black bar with no icons or text in it. I am using iPhone if that helps.

    Hey!

    What version of WP are you using ? . This is most likely a WP issue rather then Theme issue.

    I'm using the latest 3.9.1. I switched back to the 2014 out-of-the-box theme and the admin bar works perfectly on a mobile phone. Activating the Salient 4.5.1 then admin bar is just black with no icons or text.

    Thats weird, my localhost seems to be working fine. Could you please post your login details in a private response so i can take a look .
