Please check the top picture in left top corner on the two pages above.

When I built the first version of this site years back (with blueish header), all uploaded transparrent PNGs were rendered perfectly. I have double-double checked, and then checked again and again that there was a perfect background removal and no aliaslised/ feathered white pixels or alike. I even tried different bit-depths as well as colour profiles and png compression formats, but the result remains the same:

Every PNG I upload today are rendered leaving a white pixelated stroke, making the image look very poor. This error occurs overall the site where building new pages and inserting PNGs.

What can possibly be wrong? I have never experienced this error before. Not with Salient or any other theme. Of my knowledge, there should be no active compression plug-ins interrupting.

    Weird

    Thanks,

    Peter

    Hi Peter,

PNG's should not get compressed. Please check : https://fixmywp.com/blog/stop-wp-compressing-uploaded-jpeg-images.php .

    Thanks.

The link only shows about JPG? I use TINY-PNG (if you dont know it you should try it out) and have always done so. On all pages. But I have also tried and upload 100% uncompressed which was same result :(

    Hey Peter,

Salient does not enable any sort of extra compression for PNG's. I'm seeing that white outline when viewing the image file directly as well at:

    https://packroff.dk/wp-content/uploads/multimedie-1.png

Could you kindly provide the original file here as well as a temporary admin login so that I can take a look at the setup and also try doing a test upload?

    Thanks in advance
