1. How can I change the video that autoplays in the background, behind the gradient? I understand it's a YouTube video/link but changing said link via "classic mode" editor breaks the entire video autoplay feature.
3. How can I make sure that whilst the video loads, a preview image still shows?
2. The video autoplays fine on my PC but doesn't play on mobile for me. Is this normal behaviour? If not, any idea what could be causing it? Mobile is an iPhone running latest updates. Chrome on iOS also doesn't play.
Hi Tahir, thanks for your reply. The documentation is helpful.
1. Within the editor I can't find the element/layer that I need to edit or add that would make adding video possible behind the gradient. I see the "background" options on all of them, however I would expect to find a full width one but can't (see screenshot attached). Can you please tell me if I need to add a new element and which one? Or if not, which one do I edit exactly?
2. I would self-host if that helps, as playing on mobile is very important to me.

EDIT: I figured it out, nevermind. To those wondering, it was the right-most layer in the pre-made website. So in my screenshot, it was the empty top-right most column. Thanks.

Thanks for using Salient.
1. That's a Row Video Background: http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/page-builder-row/#video-background.
2. Youtube videos are not compatible with Mobiles therefore you would have to use the Self hosted Video option.
3. Unfortunately thats not possible at the moment, the Preview Image will only show if a video is not avialable.
