I recently installed Salient and tried to create my first portfolio page project.
When I try to preview the project page, I have a beautiful 404 page and I can't fix it. The link looks like this example : http://mysite.fr/portfolio/my-project
I tried to modify the permalinks section, but it still doesn't work.
Also, I'm using a "coming soon page" plugin. Could the problem be this kind of plugin?
I'm having this same problem. My pages were working flawlessly, then all of a sudden I make a tweak in the settings (added the portfolio icon link and a few basic things), now it's not working and I get a 404 error on all portfolio pages. Going to look and see if it's something with the permalinks in WP, because you shouldn't need a plugin for something this basic since it was working, then some little tweak in WP changed it. Let me know if anyone has any additional advice.
UPDATE: Turned out it was a caching thing and after I re-logged in and refreshed, the problem seemed to go away. Will try it on another machine to see if I run into the same issue.
