I recently noticed that after I do my edits & update the page, when I try to leave the page the pop-up appears that states changes may not have been saved. I deactivated all the plugins except Salient ones and it still occurs. The theme is up to date & is running the latest version of Wordpress - 5.6.1.
I installed the WP downgrade plugin and took it to 5.5.3. It no longer prompts. I bumped it up to 5.6 and it doesn't prompt at that version either. Please let me know if you have a fix for this or when one might be available.
I see in some forums that this seems to be a Wordpress core issue that was originally flagged in woocommerce & was supposed to be fixed with 5.6.1. Others have noted that once WP updated to 5.6.1 the issue started happening with pages (like in our case).
I will be bringing this up with Wordpress. If you are developing a patch or figure out a way around this in the meantime it would really be appreciated.

Hey halibutblue .
Try bumping your PHP version to the latest and check. Also check for server php errors using this guide: http://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/your-complete-guide-to-troubleshooting-wordpress/ . It would be best to contact the hosting provider and have them look into this as they are aware of the Server Configuration Details .
Thanks

The php is at 7.3.27. I checked the error log & there were only 3 errors listed. They were all from Nov 2020 - long before the issue occurred.
Escalating this to the developer so we can look into this for upcoming updates.
Thanks
