    Hello,

I just purchased your Salient theme 12.1.6 and running on Wordpress 5.6.1 with PHP 7.4.

Whenever i try to make a change to a page with the WPBakery editor, the Update button simply returns a 404 Page Error. If I preview the changes it opens a new tab and also returns a page error. No changes are saved. I can edit posts no problem. I have tried all the usual suggestions - changing permalinks, .htaccess etc. I have tried different Salient demos and all do the same thing.

The url of the 404 error when i hit the Update button is:

    https://mydomain.com.au/wp-admin/post.php

Would love your help to resolve this. Thank you!!

UPDATE: I realise that most of the errors I am getting are when i am trying to update or make changes to your Demo "Dark Blog." The home page on that demo is what seems to be creating the error. Perhaps you need to update some of the code that is used in that demo (dated 2017?)

    Hey Craig ,

Please check for server php errors using this guide: http://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/your-complete-guide-to-troubleshooting-wordpress/ . It would be best to contact the hosting provider and have them look into this as they are aware of the Server Configuration Details .

    Thanks

    Thanks Tahir,

I will do that. On further investigation - it is happening only with select templates. Namely whenever I add Salient templates from the blog selections. A lot of the cool ones just don't work - only the simple ones. I'll talk to the HP and see what they say.

    Cheers,

    Craig

    Hi Tahir,

I have narrowed down the issue to the "Recent Posts" element of Salient. Anytime I add that element to a page, I get the 404 Error, and any template which contains that element also gives a 404 error.

The only error displaying in the error log is:
    [2021-02-09 04:21:02]: uid: (902/himygnuy) gid: (905/himygnuy) cmd: wrap.cgi

    Any thoughts here?

    Thanks
