I tried with a "test" component but the movie doesn't appear..Now i tested with a nectar slider with a video in background. it works good but i want also an overlay color on the video and a caption...

The video is blue but if you 'inspect element' you'll see that there is also an overlay of some sort. I purchased the city video file from pond5 and would really love to know how to make it look exactly like the Salient live demo.

Never mind! :)  It's built into the Visual Composer.  Just scroll down when editing that specific row.
