I have a mobile menu with text beside it and when I upgraded to 12.1.6 theme and removed two two tabs, it stopped working. Also the layout on a mobile phone is all off. The hamburger menu should expand downwards when touched on a mobile device. It doesn't even respond to click events on a laptop browser. Also note, my child theme still says that its version 7.6 and perhaps the issue lies in those files. I would also like help getting the mobile menu to be far right justified too.
Salient 12 is a complete re-write of the Theme Codebase so any child theme customizations made on earlier version would need to be revised as per the new codebase .
- Unfortunately there is no code reference available at the moment to guide you with the exact steps needed to revive your layout as it was however the standard WP best practices would apply . See url : https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/advanced-topics/child-themes/ .
You can as well keep the parent theme active and use the new Theme Options as per your liking as there is no need to start from scratch .

Hi Fred,
Please try enabling the option below:
You find this in Salient > General Settings > Functionality/.
Thanks.
Hello Andrew,
That feature was disabled and per your request I enabled it but it did not fix the issue. I've left it enabled for now.
Regards,
Fred S.

Hey Again,
Please remove the old Salient Theme Folder or Switch to the Parent Theme to resolve the issue.
Thanks
