Please update to Salient Theme Version 4.5.21 as well. The issue you seem to be having is likely cause by mod rewrite. If you switch to default permalink is it working ?.
Please take a backup of your theme folder before you update so that if there are any changes made to the theme files they are not lost.
You can update your theme by downloading a fresh copy from ThemeForest, deleting the current version you have on your server and uploading the new.
It's recommended that you use FTP, but this also can be done with the WP dashboard if you prefer. The reason FTP is superior for this is because the theme won't have to be deactivated during the process so you won't have to reassign your widgets. If you're
interested in keeping up to date with the latest changes and fixes, please refer to the changelog: http://themenectar.com/changelogs/salient.html
Also, remember to clear your browser cache after each update if you notice anything off. Old theme files can persist in your local cache and make you think something's wrong.
Also please see this FAQ: http://themenectar.ticksy.com/faq/2252 .
Tahir, that looks like a standard response. The client will reinstall and everything will work fine again. Well .. No! Ofcourse I've already tried to re-install the theme. First of all, even if you take a back-up, remove the theme folder and then reinstall the update; some things have to be re-configured. That sucks, you know that. An auto-update function should be an option for this.
My problem hasn't been solved yet. So please, do you know the answer? Then I beg you to support me instead of giving standard answers. If - next to the reinstall - you don't know what it could be, honestly tell me so I can hire a developer and take further steps.
I'm not mad, Tahir. I used to work as a "support" agent, I know how things work and how annoying customers can be. But when I didn't help them, they complained on higher level.
There are two causes for the 404 page one is mod_rewrite and other is flush permalinks . I also have a prewritten response of it which has a solution as mentioned in the ticket you referenced.
Since i had a couple of mod_rewrite tickets i assumed you were having those as well. Also i mentioned changing the permalink structure in my earlier response which should have flushed the permalinks and solved the issue for you .
Hello
Why do I have 404 Error pages when I click on "More Details" on my webpage?

Hey Jarne!
You will likely have to enable mod rewrite module https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/h... as it is causing the 404 errors. You should contact your hosting provider.
Thanks

Hello Tahir
I have contacted my hosting provider and they say mod rewrite module is on for standard.
Can you take another look and check for an urgent solution?
Thank you very much in advance.
Best regards,
Jarne

The other update part was standard.
Sorry for the misunderstanding.
