I have reinstalled this theme and it has not helped.
When just trying to assemble anything, the theme throws in huge blocks of code into the back-end editor (screenshot attached), as well as a new empty row is created at the top and bottom of every page when you update a page.
Additionally, rows that follow the hero section have started inheriting the background image with no way to stop it. Many sections show up as half-width, everything smushed into one side.
I use Salient for another website and it has been great. Just hours of headache this time. What do you figure is going on here?
It hasn't been long enough to truly test, but I think I was running into something with a plug-in.
If anybody uses Dreamhost's Wordpress install, it looks like you're going to end up with "Page and Post Builder" just disemboweling Salient functionality. It has taken me a few websites over the years to even notice this.
I'll work for another 45 minutes or so on this and see if any of the issues remain after deleting the plug-in.
Hello. This is resolved. Worth leaving up to showcase my mistake--Dreamhost installs the plug-in 'Page and Post Builder' in its Wordpress install, and it does not cooperate with Salient.
