When I disable WP Bakery for the Portfolio post type I only have Text/HTML options to edit the page, I would like to use Gutenberg!

    Hi Jacob,

Please ensure the option below is unchecked:

This should be turned off as well:

    Thanks.

So this is SLOPPY, but If I add a Gutenberg block WITH WPBakery, I can then click edit to use it, but it's a popup, and not easily editable.
Edit: will try the suggestion you just shared!

    Still no Gutenberg unfortunately !

Are you able to access the Gutenberg editor for the Posts?. I believe Salient has no support for Gutenberg at the moment as we primarily use WPBakery.

    Thanks

    Hi Jacob,

Please send in your admin login credentials so that we can look into this further.

    Thanks.

It does how on posts and pages.

    I edited The Portfolio Plugin..

    salient-portfolio/includes/admin/register-post-type.php

Added 'show_in_rest' => true, to the register_post_type( 'portfolio' loop...

And it does NOT show Gutenberg, I tried the plugin on a fresh WP install without the Salient theme, and BOOM, it shows the editor.

So the salient theme is disabling Gutenberg , even with the settings set not to edit it's CSS.

Could you add a feature request for Gutenberg support? It should only require " 'show_in_rest' => true" to the register post type, and a little rewrite of the theme code!
