Quick question: I'm using the post grid element. There's an option to show the excerpt but the element does not actually create an automatic excerpt. How can the element create an automatic excerpt. Thanks!
HI Judith! Yes I activated this but for some reason, whenever the 'Post Grid' element is used, it doesn't make an automatic excerpt unless I add a manual excerpt.
When I say 'manual excerpt', I am referring to this (see screenshot). If that's empty, the post grid element does not pull an automatic excerpt from the article. It's all blank. Is this the actual behavior?
We would request that you first update the theme to the latest version 13.0.5 using this guide:http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/updating-salient/ then update the plugins after which you should clear clear the cache so that the new files can take effect.
Thanks Tahir! This works perfectly! Love the theme BTW. One last question about the Post Grid. When you use the 'Sortable' option, is there a way to get a link to the actual categories tab. I'd like it to work like how we link the 'Tabs' element where you can just add ?tab=*name of tab*. I'm wondering if that's possible. Thanks again!

This only happens for the 'Post Grid' element. It doesn't happen with the 'Blog' or 'Recent Posts' element.

- Just logged in and update the bundled plugins.
- For Automatic Excerpts to work you will have to add the More tag in the Text Block . See screenshot:
- Regarding the pagination of the Blog Page element, its not possible given the current theme options.
