Can I install this theme in wordpress?

    My theme won't upload into Wordpress, which I am very confused about. I understand that installation help isn't free, but I thought I should at least be able to download the theme to a zip after purchasing and then upload it into Wordpress. When I attempt to do this, Wordpress gives me this message:

    "The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

    Theme installation failed."

    Did I do this incorrectly? Is there something I'm missing?
