6 columns is working fine, what do you mean with new markup? I haven't inserted any custom CSS whatsoever. 3/12 is being accepted and displays fine in the backend, why is that?

I see what you mean, I changed it to 1/4 + 1/6 + 1/6 + 1/6 + 1/4 and now it's working. Still, defining it with /12 should be working right?
Basically, I'm trying to create 5 columns like this:
3/12 + 2/12 + 2/12 + 2/12 + 3/12
In the back end editor everything looks fine, however, on front end it just comes below each other.
