    Hello, I'm preparing to update several sites to 4.0 and am just checking to see on 2 things.

    1 - Are there compatibility issues with 4.0 and Salient?

    2 - Is there an update for Salient on the horizon with better compatibility for 4.0?

    We have not had any reports of WP 4.0 issues. Also i just tested on my localhost and it seems to be running alright.

    Hey Guys,

    Javy - there are no confirmed issues yet 

    Bryan & K Mcd - if you could allow me to log in your setups I'd be glad to check for the error, but I also have not been able to replicate any issues on the demo or my local testing server.

    Hi,

    I'm having the same issues as Bryan and M MCd. I've updated Salient Theme root, and WP to 4.0.

    The issue I experience is:

    I can not save text boxes and other content boxes, and they won't close (a little misleading as they will save, but stay open). If you then push save several times the visual composer (As in page showing rows with content) will distort the rows, and show the back-end code with the visual components (VC/Etc/etc). This error will also duplicate all the rows, but in sections (Explanation: Row 1-4 will duplicate and 5-8 will duplicate, thus making two pairs of duplicated row sets which will be presented below each of their respective original row set), Do I have to update the VC, if so how? It does not lie in the plugins section, only visible in the ftp really. I will give you login information to my site if you would like to look at it.

    Really need help as I am on kind of a schedule with this website..

    Hey Morten! Sorry for the delay while I was wrapping up the latest release - could you kindly indeed allow me admin access so I can check for what the error being thrown is?

    Hello, that's okey. I solved it by installing salient theme latest release, and then updating WP 4.0 again. It has to be done in the right sequence it seems, first update theme, then update WP and not the other way around.
