we updated to WP 4.0 after that the Visual Composer is not working properly. Normally we open an item, edit and hit save and de popupbox closes nice. Now it doesnt close anymore automaticly and i need to click the close cross. Also the design of a new added row is messed up and last if i delete an item, it keeps visible is on the page visible. After page refresh its gone.
I'm having this same issue. Seemed to happen after WP 4.0 install. Screenshot attached of what it looks like when I try to edit a text block that has content in the element. The really weird part is, when I click save, it is some how populating all the elements that are already currently on the page. Basically duplicating the entire page into the text block I was trying to edit. Now I can't go back in and remove the text because the block is BLANK in Visual Composer....
Hey Guys, could either of you allow me to log in the setup so I can see what the error is originating from if you've already disabled plugins? I still have been unable to reproduce anything like this locally
i don't know exactly what solved it but I just activated the only plugin again that was on the install (contact form 7) and the problem is gone..so i assume it has to do something with it.
(so even when it was not active it gave issues with the VC layout)
I think I figured it out. I had HTML script for a subscriber form from Mailchimp on the same page. Deleted the form element and now it seems to be functioning correctly. Not sure how or why this would have affected VC for the entire page... I really need to use that script...
The script is most likely parsing in the editor by embedding it that way and thus breaking things - Have you tried pasting it in the VC script element instead?

After updating salient theme the problem stays.
Hey Gert!
Could you please try deactivating third party plugin for a sec to see if this is occurring due to a plugin conflict.
Thanks

Hi,
We have no plugins active. We had an older version of the theme and added the latest one.

THanks for the additional info Gert-Jan :)
I tried what Gert-Jan did, and I still have the issue.
I think I might be having this issue on a specific page... I can get you in setup to login.

I added the script with the VC script element and that works just fine, no breaks or anything. Thanks for your help!!! Keep up the great work!
